| My theory is that the door spontaneously came to sentient life and immediately thought better of it. |

The building was old. In fact one of the windows got broke and large hunks of glass came raining down. Turns out the windows were plain plate glass and were not up to current code but they had been grandfathered in. I would guess at that time the building was over 20 years old.
The door and frame were both metal.
I do remember it being a super hot summer that year with several days over 90 (then again that is damn near every summer in NC), but for the life of me I can't remember when it happened. I only worked there for a year and I want to say it happened closer to teh end of my time there which would put it near the spring/summer mark.
The biggest problem I see with it being a expansion/heat result is that it happened late in the night and since metal cools fast it had plenty of time to adjust.
The problem with a pressure issue is that why wouldn't it have caused the side door to shake since it was unlocked and would have had the least resistance, unless it is what caused the difference in pressure.
Now the reason why I love this story is that it shows that there could be tons of logical answers to something that seems, and is out of the ordinary. However we can't use any of them to answer the question at hand since we don't have enough information about what happened.
That is how ideas in the paranormal get started. |

Human curiosity abhors a vaccuum and we will make up a cause if the actual one isn't apparent.
Can you identify any events or situations in your life that might indicate you are being stalked by a demon of some sort? |

Ok... but first I want to give Gspoon a little smooch on the cheek. |

I think I would rather face demons than walk down the aisle (did consider it once and ended up dodging a big bullet)
however if cat keeps up the cheek smooches I may have to reconsider |

I got it, I have been thinking about this all week.
It was Jim Morrison. Yup - he was being reincarnated by a partially deaf Angel who misunderstood "The Doors".
Once he realized the mistake, it was reversed. |

| I was going to post this on some previous occasion, but forgot. A pressure wave could still explain it if the pressure wave just happened to be at the resonant frequency of the door. Such a wave may have virtually no affect on another door with a different resonant frequency, but still have a marked affect on a door who's resonant frequency was matched precisely or, perhaps, with a harmonic. |
