I read this on an old blog entry awhile ago when i was signing up for a GameTap account... when getting anything online that has a section to insert coupon codes, i usually google around for stuff just incase there's something floating around (a useful tip—got me 30% on my Dell). Well, when i came across this, i didn't really think much of it because it was a really old entry from back when GameTap was still in their first year (to the point that it stated the fact that to discontinue your account with them, you had to call GameTap's Customer Support line), so i figured it wouldn't possibly work anymore. Well... recently i decided that GameTap hasn't really been coming across enough decent games (and allot of the ones that would be decent have code flaws and glitches caused by GameTap's system) to drain my $9.95/month (on top of all the other crap i'm paying for to amuse me—I’m trying to trim some of them). Well, i went to my account, and clicked cancel (no longer needed to phone in to do it), it ran me through the questionnaire of why, i just answered with the scroll menu saying "Don't want to Troubleshoot" (seemed the easiest answer to get passed any of their possible solutions), so it moved me on to the next screen which offered the fore mentioned—GameTap for 1 month free, plus 50% off/month (at that point the blog entry went through my head, and i kicked myself for not trying it earlier).
Now... note that this bribe to keep me was automated... so what does that mean? Its a bit of a scam on behalf of GameTap that they charge so much to begin with. So, please, take advantage of this... |

| Hmm.. I don't play enough to warrant even $5.00 a month, but that's a good deal. I'll pass it on to some friends. |
