For some reason or another I was walking through some caves that had been modified recently into well constructed tunnels. There were some other people with me, but I don't know who they were. I think one was the guy from Digging for the Truth or whatever that show is on the History channel.
Anyway, partway through our walk I discover a little side passage, also well constructed but it seems to be much older, mud brick and cut stone type construction. We enter and follow, but the weird part about that is that the passage way is only about one brick wide and one brick high. Somehow the rest of the group manages to squeeze through this inches wide opening, but I have to tear out a second brick in order to follow. Once it's two bricks high (still only one brick wide) I fit with a tight squeeze.
We follow this passage to several others, all similar in construction, and for some reason all very well lit. We get to a final passage and this one has some old, very dry and brittle sticks just inside the entrance, designed to fall if disturbed.
I move the sticks our of the way, they aren't more than two feet long and finger thick.
One stick remains, and this one is balanced upright with some old string would around the upper end and leading off to something out of sight. The stick is right in the middle of the entrance, so I have to move it to get through.
As soon as I move it the string goes taut and and we hear rumbling, and a beeping. Dust starts to shake down from the chamber roof like in the movies, and obviously some sort of booby trap has been set off. The beeping continues, and one of the guys in the party says "you did it now"
I'm still hearing that damn beeping, until I realize it's my alarm and I wake up. |

I hate those ancient beeps!
Maybe my subterranean storage room and fake ancient coin helped you conjure something. Or else you ate hot pickles with BBQ sauce before you went to bed. Works every time. |

I think your dream did have something to do with it. I also watched a 'Dirty Jobs' the other day in a salt mine, and that is what the original tunnel looked like.
I had pepperoni pizza last night, maybe that did it. |

I've dreamt of something similiar. But I was in an altered version of my highschool, that also had a basement, being chased by little flying saucers, more svelte then the Batteries Not Included* ones. Got caught in the basement, broke a window and started climbing through until I realized I couldn't fit completely. I thought, I need to make this window better, cause at this point I realize I am dreaming. With that thought, it expands, or I pull a Winne The Pooh, I can't be sure, and I am through it and running like a bat out of hell. |

| You know, that was such a traumatic experience for my I seem to have blocked all memories of birth, too. In fact, it apparently left me in such a state that I have no memories for like the first 2 or 3 years of my life and even for a few years after that it's a little spotty. It's like a thousand times worse than walking in on your parents doin' the nasty. |
