Wow, enigma, nice to see a pic of you that's not hidden under a big hat. Lol! Pretty. And you are most definitely a talented artist. I love the rat piece.
I wish I'd held onto some of my pencil drawings. I either stuck them away somewhere or lost them. I have only a few pieces around the house, and they're getting quite old. Here's some I did years ago, a variety of mediums.
The outdoor scene is a watercolor.
The nude was done in a life drawing class and is pen and ink.
The invitation I did for a fund-raising dinner I was involved with, the artwork a linoleum print.
The bird piece is my first (of two) attempts at three-color printing. I did each color on a separate sheet of glass... with a Q-tip swab. The birds turned out to be a generic mix of a canary and a parakeet I had at the time.

Aw, go ahead and say it, Gren. I triple dog dare ya.
Enigma, that print was done on paper, in three stages, one for each color. I did a sketch of the birds on paper and put a sheet of glass over it. I inked it with yellow, then with cotton swabs I wiped off what I didn't want to print yellow. I pressed the glass onto another, higher quality sheet of paper. I repeated that process for the red and the blue inks. It was a very sloppy and amateur go at it, but it was fun.
Was your rat piece done for something in particular? I really like it. |

It's one I did of Gustafe Dore' work....
what doesn't show in the pic is the wording underneath the drawing. It says:
"A certain cat spread so much terror throughout the Kingdom of the Rats that they held a council to decide what should be done. One wise old rat suggested that a bell should be fastened around the cats neck to give warning of his approach; and all approved the idea. But who was to do it? Nobody volunteered and the whole thing ended in talk. So it is with human affairs: Plenty of suggestions but no action."
I did it just to remind me that some things just need to be done. |

Cool, enigma. That would make me a right nice desktop reminder.
Grendel... see? That wasn't so difficult, was it? Nasty, but not difficult. |

| This is my first attempt at poetry (outside homework) that I wrote about a year ago for "The Planetary Egghead Foundation" board back when it was still up. It's basically about a poem about the poem being written. It's kinda embarassing. I omitted the awful stanzas. |

| In a few days I intend to have a new "don't feed the tolls" ASCII (inspiration drawn from aatheist) made up. I'm trying things a bit differently, and it's slowgoing... plus motivation is ephemeral. |

Would a death threat help?
Cool, can't wait to see it. |
