Good flick! (based on true events)

The Dish (2000)

July 1969. Neil Armstrong is about to walk on the moon, and everyone's eyes are riveted to their TV screens. In Parkes, Australia, a radio dish antenna is slated to receive Apollo 11's video feed and send that historic sight out to the world … that is, if the Australian staff (including pipe-smoking, absent-minded scientist Sam Neill) and their NASA supervisor (the tense, by-the-book Patrick Warburton) don't make any mistakes!

Princess Bride was on TBS this afternoon. I cant recommend that movie enough. Just darn funny all the way through and very quotable.

"Have fun storming the castle!"

"Sleep well, and dream of large women."

Princess Bride on DVD; £8.99, DVD player; £49.99, Andre the Giant; priceless

Weatherman sucked...very slow, not very funny. Best parts are when Nick Cage(Copolla) gets hit with flying soda's and frosty's. Waste of time and money.

Saw "Skeleton Key" as a recommendation from my mother. Given our wildly divergent tastes, I was surprised that it wasn't bad. If one likes a mystery movie with elements of the supernatural, it's worth watching.

I liked skeleton key also, but I think it could have been better, embellished a little more on the supernatural and been a little scarier

Living In Oblivion - Steve Buscemi as a unknown director trying to get a low budget movie made and all the trouble he encounters. Pretty funny, and low budget itself. Catherine Keener (homina) as the female star, Dermot whatsisname as the cinematographer. A 'small' movie, but worth a look.

Watched "Venom" last night, don't waste your money. No one is in it, the plot could be good with work, the acting is the stuff of nightmares...or comedy; however you look at it.

Watched the Wedding Crashers...should have watched reruns of Law and Order.

Watched "the Blue Collar Comedy Tour" thought I would laugh my you-know-what-off.

I saw Broke Back Mountain with my daughter...she walked out ...I stayed it was a beautiful movie...definitely a chick flick not a guy movie. I don't have one male friend who will go see it with or without wife, my boyfriend 's favorite movie is "Dodge Ball"..he is soon to be my ex...maybe I will take him on a cruise?

Jarhead was so good I pirated a copy. Some of the script was just liberal soundbites, but overall its a good flick.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (damn kids) was okay in a 12 year old kind of way, but not real Academy Award material by any means.
