Interesting article. Stephen Hawking only half recanted his stand that a black hole loses information though. His new theory stated that the information was still viable in another universe, thus, not lost at all. In reality, he did not admit to being wrong about anything except the fact that information was not technically lost. But, in the context of only a single observed universe, his theory is completely unchanged. At least, that was the last time I knew.

According to most of the stories i've written that happen to involve blackholes, they're for the most part two-way, but usually completely unstable... and if i wrote it, then it clearly must be valid.
Actually, i've always gone more on the Einstien's idea that blackholes are basically just unstable wormholes, but otherwise are the same thing. the question then being, what the hell does a wormhole do...? theories on that seem to be all over the place (way more than sci-fi ever seems to touch on--'cept maybe Farscape at some point).
