Postal
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809761928/info
Quote:
Follows two days in the life of the Postal Dude, in the regrettably named town of Paradise. Just when he thinks he has hit rock bottom, things get worse. Sharing a trailer with his ever-expanding wife, Bitch, Dude is in a bad way. After a humiliating job interview and a nearly lethal trip to the welfare office, Dude finds himself on the doorstep of his Uncle Dave. Despite being the successful leader of the town cult, Dave is also finding himself in financial difficulties. Together, Dude and Dave hatch a plan to steal some valuable merchandise. Unfortunately for them, the much better organized and much better equipped Taliban has converged on Paradise for more sinister reasons. Things spiral out of control when Osama Bin Laden is forced to call in his friend George W Bush as back up. Few are left standing by the time Dude turns his back on Paradise. Dude quickly learns how liberating it can be when there is nothing left to lose. He learns never to trust a messiah, especially when that messiah has written his own bible. He learns that you can find love in the most unlikely places, even when the object of your affections is holding a gun to your head. Most importantly, he learns that there is nothing that a well timed nuclear explosion can't solve.

That's right kids, they made a movie about one of the greatest games ever made... but be warned of the director. it looks to be directed towards comedy (as it should be), but i still don't trust it. the release (like his last few movies) is in limited thearters, so you'll probably have to wait this out 'til it's on DVD (i really wish they'd just shoot that man).

There's a scene involving Uwe Boll punching out one of his critics. I guess that's slightly less trifling than Michael Crichton writing in a critic as a small-penised child molestor.

I'd rather watch Soviet propaganda films from the 20s and 30s than another piece of Bollshit.

Great Fucking game, so goddammed cathartic at a time when I REALLY needed the stress relief. I played this game at a time when I deeply hated my job and everyone at work, and boy let me tell you - Instead of ME going postal, I actually got my anger OUT!!! Meanwhile at work, I was able to function and coexist successfully with a horde of the most evil/vile coworkers I have ever known.

Whenever someone says video games CAUSE violence, I have to laugh. I wonder just how much violence has been PREVENTED by allowing people to vent on bits & bytes instead of live flesh?

Uwe Boll hates video game(r)s and is seeking to destroy them by making movies out of them.

PS not that I could ever hurt anyone outside of immediate threat to me and mine. But I sure did fantasize about it! Postal let me "live" the fantasies in a safe environment. And yes, I know that there are fucktards who move from fantasy to reality, but I belive they would have gone "psycho" regardless of access to video games. Hell, Gacy loved clowns! Does that make clown college responsible for pedophiles?

I'm just hoping something gets done before they start on the Halo movie... since last rumor on that has Boll directing, but at least Peter Jackson's producing.
Postal was a game that truly needed more sequels though 'cause that game really was a stress reliever, that and GTA are among my favorite forms of therapy...

Features an interview with Boll on... Fox.
On the plus side... it gives mention of a Postal 3 being in the works... so at least one of my wishes shall soon be coming true...
