Check it out:

I understand the need to test campus security systems, but this seems like an excellent way to got shot by a student who is carrying a weapon to defend against just this type of thing. Not to mention scaring the shit out of students and the instructor. A few students said they made plans to leap through a window and nearly did. This ain''t the way to check security, I'm thinking.

No. It's merely a way to test which students are carrying concealed despite campus policy. (fatal testing I might add)
In no way does that make a lick of sense. |

I think looking for students carrying is an indirect result. Still, it's one they should be prepared for, especially as it's been proven over and over again that they can't protect us (students on campus).
I don't carry to school (it's highly illegal,) but don't fault anyone who does in this day and age. Not that shootings on campus are any more of a threat or possibility, but we're constantly having our noses rubbed in it. |

from a psychological stand point, I think it interesting how fear can make people not notice the gun was red and most likely had an orange tip covering the barrow (which is now required of all toy guns to indicate that it a toy).
but, yea, the whole idea was pretty dumb... if they wanted to test their security's response time with this type of method, then wouldn't it make more sense to organize an assembly or something with this intent (which should hopefully avoid having anyone in the assembly not knowing what’s going on). Although, for irony, that would also be the best time for a real gunmen to come in with everyone thinking he's fake... |
