Anyone else do this?

Apparently I have become quite the talker during somnambulistic episodes. And apparently it's enough to cause abraded sensitivities with my significant other, who will tell me nothing. I'm considering duct tape. Leave no national secrets with me.

I have very few issues I really worry about. But from hints I have gotten, I suspect it has to do with ex's. News to me, since I do little to no waking thinking about em. In fact, I can't really think of any unresolved issues with em. Some bitterness for personal mistakes still sure. But nothing of any real importance, I think.

Any ideas?

My brother used'to say I talked in my sleep whenever i was sick...
Basically, you're normally "paralyzed" when you dream, but sometimes, you're not, so whatever you're saying in your dream, you end up saying out loud.

Not sure what to tell you. I've heard people talking in their sleep, everything from my brother in law yelling at his kids (Dylan, get over here!) to my friends brother asking about cheeseburgers in a staircase.

From that I don't get that there is anything in particular that makes you likely to talk in your sleep, so probably no real help for it.

Id say avoid any sort of sleep inducing medication or alcohol before bed, as it might make the sleep process a little less reliable than normal.

Paul, I say that we're not entirely responsible for what we dream, and since you had a life before your significant other, and you ARE human (aren't you?), then unless she simply has a complaint about your being noisy while she's trying to sleep, then maybe she could... chill a little?

Btw, foam earplugs are a great invention.

I've been known to carry on complete conversations in my sleep. I also sleepwalk. Hubs says it can be pretty amusing at times. Good thing I have no secrets, huh?

my dad used to laugh in his sleep.
Dead silent, middle of the night, then someone laughing at the best joke they've ever heard. sends chills to this day.
*shrug* at least he was a happy person. Laughing

I used to carry on conversations while asleep and have no recollection in the morning. An ex-girlfriend used to get me to agree to all sorts of shit that way.

Now I think I just wake up. Back then I would sit up, eyes open, and hold a conversation but still be dead asleep.

When you're married to Mary but in your sleep you moan "oh kathy....uuuuuunhhhhh kathy...... ooooooo baaby... ooo kathy...yeeeessss" it's kinda hard to explain to Mary you had a life prior. You'd be right, but it ain't gonna count.

Our 13 yr old daughter walks and talks in her sleep once in a while. I'll be watching TV at midnight and she'll walk downstairs and up to me and say some silly thing or another. I tell her to go back to bed and she does.

Mrs. G says I'll cry out in fear at night, get real agitated, feet kicking, body jerking, even drooling sometimes, but never in my sleep.
