This section is the closest I found to an "introduce yourself" area.

Found this board from a link in the Nightstar Zoo forum. Had a look around and decided that this was an interesting place to register on. Having looked over the instructions and stuff, I found the punishment for a Third Offense to be a tad difficult to enforce, and kind of expensive. It's a little hard to get a copy of the TV guide in Baghdad...

Anyway, that's my post.

Oh, the stickie'd newbie posting guide is suffering link rot. And I wanted to see that animation too... Sad

What's up, Doc?

Ah, a fellow Schlocker. Welcome Dr. Neo.

We lost the newbie posting guide eh? Thanks for the heads up.

Look around, have some fun. Don't be afraid to jump right in.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Smile

I must admit that I was surprised when I saw the number of posts vs the number of registered users.

I guess everyone has a lot to say!

Yeah, it's a tight little group and we keep all the spammers away with big hammers.

Discussion ranges from the absurd to the profound, and usually in the same thread.

Welcome aboard Monkey Man. Any chance you're Gren going by another name? We can't find him.

That explains it! Gren went to Australia to capture a duckbill platypus so he can use it to disprove Intelligent Design... 'cause that thing is clearly proof of stupid design...

Yeah, egg-laying mammals in general. Mammals with cloacas defeats a big advantage of being a mammal.

I thought rabbits were the animal for disproving ID, since they have to eat their food, shit it out, and eat said shit food again to get the full she-bang. Either way I think I watch too much Penn And Teller.

And Welcome to the Board!

And thanks for the heads up on the link.

1 - No, I've never gone by the name of "Gren". Though if I was this person, that's exactly what I'd say, isn't it? Smile

A simple search for "Dr Neo Lao" should give a bit of my background over the last few years (and probably a few matrix references).

2 - Duckbilled Platypi aren't stupid. They're special. Very Happy

3 - No, I don't drive a jeep. Actually, I'm not driving anything at the moment (one of the benefits of living right in the heart of a major city).

4 - There is no fourth point.
