The dream I had is a bit too complicated to tell, but it was about me telling a little lie to someone I care about (in order to make them feel good and because I needed to feel good about myself) and the lie became bigger and bigger. It was a lucid dream because I made some changes to the dream, but in the end it did not turn out as I wanted it to. At one point I woke up and when I fell asleep again the dream continued.
I looked up what lying (can) mean and this is what I came up with:
..To dream that you are lying, suggests that you are trying to deceive yourself into believing in something that goes against your natural instincts or long held values. Ask yourself what are you hiding from yourself or from others. |

| i'm not much of a believer in dream symbol definitions, but i kinda agree with that one. What exactly did the lie involve? Is it actually something that you are having issues dealing with? |

| I'm with Raven. Most dream symbology is a guess at best, but that one seems pretty likely. Trying to talk yourself into or out of something? |

It's not unusual to lie to someone in order to spare their feelings. No, you don't look fat in that. Yes, that hair style is nice. Now, now... you do not have a big nose.
Sounds like you felt guilty because it also made you feel better. |
